I need to choose a best man, but I can't really share the answers yet ... what a conundrum.

Well, it looks like I will be married in March ... unfortunately, as I know the folks who read this (for the most part), I can't really say who this special lady is. Well, I guess all things in time ... ![]()
By the way, it is the height of stupidity to believe that the tragedy in New Orleans is about race or in any way George Bush's fault. Get over it morons.
Well, it finally happened !
Dumped the brain-dead liberal bitch I'd been with for 5yr, way back in June, and hooked-up with another woman I'd known just as long ... life is way better! More later ...
I also read this book recently. I came away feeling kind of sad. Speaker Gingrich is an intelligent man with a wealth of experience and insight into both people and government. He has wonderful ideas in this book, and some key insights (although I'd only agree with ~85%, that's a lot for me). What's sad about this "second contract with America," is that Newt is seemingly relatively ignored by the people who still have real power.
I do recommend this book for everyone who loves America though. It may be, way in the future, considered one of the last truly hopeful poly-sci works in recent history.
Good stuff too!
Generally not written at post graduate levels (like Treason), this is a collection of Ann's columns ... not all having been published in original form (or at all) ... and is a relatively easy, engaging read. I highly recommend it to conservatives and liberals alike (although, it may not help the worst of the liberals
)
Good stuff. Blows the lid off the liberal's versions of recent history (40's-present).
I got this in a "joke" email, and I couldn't resist posting it here ... hopefully it provokes thought.
A college student challenged a senior citizen, saying it was impossible for their generation to understand his. "You grew up in a different world," the student said. "Today we have television, jet planes, space travel, nuclear energy, computers..."
Taking advantage of a pause in the student’s litany, the geezer said, "You're right. We didn't have those things when we were young; so we invented them! What the hell are you doing for the next generation?”
Someone sent this to me and I thought it was very interesting.
Things that make you think a little........ There were 39 combat related killings in
When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following: FDR led us into World War II.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost an average of 5,800 per year.
more..... JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004, 11:13: Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This is a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military. Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?" Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me as I went the other day to a veteran's hospital and look those men with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in
